John Mayer - Born and Raised

It’s been a 3 year wait for fans of John Mayer’s smooth and bluesy voice, but the time is finally here. His  fifth studio album  ‘Born and Raised’ revels in his blues roots with a cheerful country over-tone feel to it. In short: it’s everything we love about the man’s music!
Delayed by the unfortunate need for throat surgery (due to a recurring throat granuloma) we hope this won’t be this fifth and last album…

The new album has  twelve tracks and  a run time of just over 46 minutes. The first single, "Shadow Days", full of really intense guitar solos came out in Feb this year and if you can manage a listen gives a pretty good idea of the spirit of the rest of the album. “Shadow Days” is actually rumoured to have been written for his ex Jennifer Aniston. Sources say Mayer penned the track as a farewell once he got over her.

Born and Raised is a phenomenal record. If you have been anticipating this album, you won’t be disappointed!
