His huge success with platinum single, “Black and Yellow”, has had a bitter-sweet effect on his debut album - on the one hand it made us all expect great things from Wiz’s first album, but on the other hand Wiz has now created a bar that we will judge all his subsequent singles against. If they are not on the same level of “Black and Yellow” they’ll will be seen as a failure.
Luckily for the up and coming rapper, despite the fact that he doesn’t actually sing about anything except money, weed and girls, there are other highlights on Rolling Papers. The less mainstream tracks like Wake Up and The Race Khalifa proves his versatile nature and his talent. They show us he deserves another shot at it.
