“Wasting Light” is definitely old-school and it's got the Foos back doing what they do best - straight up anthemic rock with killer choruses. You'll be hard pressed to pick out any track that doesn't deserve to be on the album.
The Foo Fighters were born out of what was Nirvana - but after the suicide of Kurt Cobain in 1994, nobody could have predicted that their drummer, Dave Grohl, would form and be the frontman of another great rock band. He did though, and Foo Fighters have been one of the biggest rock bands in the world for the last 15 years.
