Up until this year Usher had been releasing albums at the leisurely rate of one very three or four years. Now, less than six months after the release of the disappointing Raymond v Raymond, arrives the album Versus EP.
He would have done better to give it the usual few years and make sure the content was up to scratch. Unfortunately it's not. There are nine tracks on the EP; eight new ones and There Goes My Baby.
The songs are similar to Raymond v Raymond's mix of club bangers and slow jams, and there is a similar lack of inspiration on show. For someone with as much talent as Usher, Versus is not good enough.
